ENG vs IND Live: Watch - James Anderson traps Cheteshwar Pujara with a peach of delivery

The fifth (rescheduled) Test match between England and India started at the Edgbaston stadium in Birmingham. The skipper of England, Ben Stokes won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. Cheteshwar Pujara opened the innings with Shubman Gill without Rohit Sharma.

James Anderson provided the first breakthrough for India by sending back Shubman Gill for 17 runs. The right-arm pacer continued his domination over Cheteshwar Pujara as he got him for the 5th time in his career.

After his dismissal, Matty Potts got both the wickets of Hanuma Vihari and Virat Kohli for 20 and 11 runs. Shreyas Iyer also returned to the dressing room after being dismissed by James Anderson on 15 runs.

However, the experienced right-arm pacer, James Anderson once again got Cheteshwar Pujara with a fabulous delivery. Cheteshwar Pujara didn't have an answer to the delivery bowled by the English pacer.

He has got great game sense: Wasim Jaffer

Eng vs Ind - Jasprit Bumrah - Waism Jaffer

The former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer was not convinced after Jasprit Bumrah was named as the skipper for this rescheduled Test match against England.

During a recent interaction with ESPNCricinfo, the former Indian cricketer said, "I have seen (Cheteshwar) Pujara lead in first-class cricket. He is a decent enough leader. He has played 90 (95) odd Tests, so I feel it would have made more sense to go with him."

"Bumrah was vice-captain previously so obvious for him to become captain but knowing the importance of the match, knowing that the series is on the line, I would have been tempted to look at Cheteshwar Pujara.

Bumrah hasn't captained at all. For him to lead in such a Test without experience you never know. Bumrah looks intelligent, and has got great game sense so he might surprise us as Hardik Pandya did," said Wasim Jaffer.
