BBL: Nic Maddinson starts walking off after wind knocks off bail, fans remained shocked

A bizarre moment took place during the clash against Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades, as Nic Maddinson survived after the wind knocked the bails when he was batting for his side.

Having a look at the game, Jimmy Peirson, the skipper of Brisbane Heat won the toss and invited Melbourne Renegades to bat. Nic Maddinson's army posted a quite challenging total of 166 runs after being asked to bat first by the opposition.

The skipper has looked in fabulous touch with the bat as he slammed 87 off just 49 balls which had the likes of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Chasing the target, Brisbane Heat isn't up to the mark as they have been restricted by the opposition for 144 runs at the end of the game.

Jimmy Peirson tried his best by coming out in the middle and scoring 43 runs from 30 balls. Apart from the skipper, Colin Munro played a runner-ball knock of 35 from 30 balls and Ross Whiteley remained unbeaten on 28 runs as he smashed only one six during the game. Hence, Melbourne Renegades won the battle by a margin of 22 runs.

It was not about power hitting: Nic Maddinson

Winning the match, the skipper Nic Maddinson looked pretty happy in the post-match presentation and shared a few words about their performance in the game.

"Pretty proud of it. Started slowly, but tried to shift gears, later on, tried to pick the tempo. Something that I have struggled with earlier, trying to hit too hard early on. It was not about power-hitting, it was hitting good shots and finding the gaps.

Tried to keep my shape. A hundred would have been nice with a couple of overs remaining, but nice to get a win nevertheless," Nic Maddinson was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
