BAN vs IND: Watch - Umran Malik rattles Shakib al Hasan with lightening quick bouncers in his first over

Rohit Sharma-led Indian team went on to challenge Bangladesh in the 2nd One-day on 8th December, Wednesday. Coming to the game, Liton Das, the skipper of Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat. Batting first, Bangladesh collapsed earlier in the game as they lost 6 of their batters for just 69 runs.

The partnership between Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz helped the hosts to put up a fighting total on the board. With Mahmudullah returned to the dressing room scoring 77 runs, Mehidy Hasan Miraz remained unbeaten on 100 runs and helped his side to post 271 runs on the board.

Chasing the target, India didn't get the expected start as they lost both of their openers, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan for cheap scores. However, Shreyas Iyer stood firm in the middle and scored 82 runs with Axar Patel smashing 56 on the other side. However, the hosts removed both the well-settled batters and once again brought back the side into the game.

Ban vs Ind - Mustafizur Rahman - Rohit Sharma

After the dismissal of Deepak Chahar, Rohit Sharma came to bat with his injured thumb and took the game to the final over. The skipper smashed 51 runs off just 28 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes. Hence, Bangladesh won the match and took the lead by 2-0.

Winning the game, the skipper of Bangladesh shared a few words about their performance against the quality Indian team. "Very happy, to win in my first series as captain, it feels good. We felt that 240-250 was a good score.

We were under pressure but they (Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz) were brilliant. Don't know what their conversations were, but what they did was simply superb.

I wanted to rotate my main bowlers around because it was a good pitch in the second half, so I couldn't afford to bowl too many of my main bowlers early on. The focus for the next game will also be about winning," Liton Das was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
