Ravichandran Ashwin responds to BCB's birthday wish for the late Manzarul Islam

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has always responded quite late on their official Twitter handle. Recently, they lost the Test series against Sri Lanka as they have been defeated by a margin of 209 runs at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekelle.

Besides, the instance took place on May 4 when the BCB wished the late Manzarul Islam Rana on their official Twitter handle. It was Rana's 37th birth anniversary. He made his international debut in the 1st Test against Zimbabwe and picked up to wickets in the game.

After that, he represented his side in 6 Test and 25 ODIs and bagged 5 and 23 wickets to his name. On 16th March 2007, Rana took his last breath before engaged in a road accident.

Ravichandran Ashwin responds to BCB's tweet:

The Indian veteran off-spinner has been one of the best spinners to have ever played the game. However, he left his franchise in the mid-way of IPL 2021 to support his family as they were fighting against the deadly virus.

He confirmed it officially on his Twitter handle and wrote "I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals."

As of now, BCCI has called off the Indian Premier League due to the rising number of cases. Besides, remembering his 37th birth anniversary, BCB took their official Twitter account and weirdly wished him.

"Happy Birthday to Manjural Islam Rana, youngest Test Cricketer to die at the age 22 years and 316 days," BCB wrote. Netizens were not happy with the tweet and asked them to delete it. Ashwin was also not happy with the tweet and responded with an emoji.
