Dinesh Karthik's blunt response after a fan trolls him for his slow knock against New Zealand in 2019 ICC ODI WC
The veteran Indian wicket-keeper, Dinesh Karthik come up with an interesting reply after a fan trolled him on Twitter for his slow innings against New Zealand in the semi-finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2019.
Things started when Dinesh Karthik interacted with the fans on his official Twitter handle during the AskDK session. The 37-year-old had a hilarious session with the fans who asked a lot of questions ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which is going to kick off in a day.
Besides, during this session, one of the fans reminded the wicket-keeper batter about his slow innings during the semi-final against New Zealand in ICC ODI World Cup 2019 where India lost the match and was eliminated from the race. That was a huge blow for the Indian team and the fans as it was the last world cup tournament for the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
They have got a chance of winning: Ian Chappell
The former Australia skipper, Ian Chappell has come up with an interesting statement ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia.
The former Australian cricketer believes that India is going to be the favourites in the series but the Pat Cummins' led Australian team didn't let them dominate the series.
In a recent interaction with Curtain Raiser show for India vs Australia hosted by ESPNcricinfo, Ian Chappell said, "I don't know whether it's their best chance or not, but they've got a chance of winning because they're a good cricket team," was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
"Unfortunately, they will be missing two very good bowlers (Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood) in the first Test. But as I said earlier, there are only two teams playing and you must have a chance of winning. And they're both playing on the same pitch," he added.
