They got the expected start to their innings, as the skipper Pat Cummins has gone through the top-order of the opposition and got three wickets under his belt. Haseeb Hameed, Zak Crawley and Dawid Malan had been sent back by the right-arm for a duck, 12 and 14 runs. However, the skipper of England, Joe Root has played well in the middle and scored 50 runs before being dismissed by Mitchell Starc. Then Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow added 25 and 35 runs each before throwing their wicket to Cameron Green and Micthell Starc. The lower-order batters Ollie Robinson and Jack Leach have been decent with the bat and scored 22 and 13 runs for their side.

Both the batters added 57 runs for the opening wicket partnership before David Warner walks back to the dressing room after scoring 38 runs. After that, Ollie Robinson and Mark Wood removed Nathan Lyon and Marnus Labuschagne for 10 and 1 runs respectively.

James Anderson was the hero for England who has scalped 4 wickets for his team.
England in their second innings once again didn't get the expected start as they lost four wickets for 31 runs, as they already have 51 runs trial in front of them. Moving on, the skipper of the side Joe Root was once again the top-scorer for England in the second innings as well.
However, he didn't get enough support from the other end and all the batters were failed to manage the experienced bowling attack of the Australian team. In the end, they have been bowled out for 68 runs as the hosts won the match by an innings and 14 runs.
Besides, during the India and Australia series, the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan took a dig at India after being bowled out for 92 runs by Australia. On that note, the former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has come up with a hilarious reply for the English cricketer by posting a video on his official Twitter handle.
