Suresh Raina's cryptic tweet leaves a hint of him taking part in IPL 2023
The recently concluded 15th edition of the Indian Premier League has witnessed the newcomers, Gujarat Titans as the winner of this season.
However, the two most successful teams in the history of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings who share 9 titles to their name have finished at the bottom of the table (Chennai Super Kings 9th and Mumbai Indians 10th).
In this edition, Chennai Super Kings named Ravindra Jadeja as their new skipper. However, the left-handed all-rounder didn't have a good time with the captaincy role and the side witnessed five straight losses in their first five games.
Later, the management decided to give back the leadership to MS Dhoni and dropped Ravindra Jadeja from the captaincy role. Moreover, the CSK management didn't pick Suresh Raina in the mega auction held in Bengaluru. Likewise, Mumbai Indians also left their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya head of the mega auction.
Suresh Raina once again made the headlines:
The left-handed batter was not retained by Chennai Super Kings and was not even picked by them in the two-day bidding event as well. Besides, the management decided to retain Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali.
Moreover, they bought some of their old players like Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu and a few more. But unfortunately, they didn't even bid for Suresh Raina in the event.
Everyone would remember how Suresh Raina shattered the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) bowlers in an important game in IPL 2014.
Recently, the official Twitter handle of Chennai Super Kings posted a tweet mentioning Suresh Raina's 87 off 25 against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).
Suresh Raina replied to that tweet with a call sign as the fans started to celebrate that Suresh Raina wants CSK to buy him in the upcoming IPL auction. Anyway, the latter has been still the highest run-getter for Chennai Super Kings, scoring 5529 runs after getting featured in more than 200 games for the side.
