Chinnaswamy Fans Chanted "RCB, RCB" During The Ranji Trophy Finals between Madhya Pradesh vs Mumbai

 

Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai have taken on each other in the finals of the Ranji Trophy 2022 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Madhya Pradesh defeated Bengal in the 1st semi-final with a margin of 174 runs.

Mumbai on the other hand has drawn the 2nd semi-final with Uttar Pradesh and got qualified for the finals. Coming to this game, Prithvi Shaw, the skipper of Mumbai won the toss and opted to bat.

He opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal and gave a good start for his side. Both the batters have pulled up an 87 runs partnership for the opening wicket before Prithvi Shaw has been dismissed by Anubhav Agarwal for 47 runs.

Armaan Jaffer who had a fantastic outing in his last encounter against Uttar Pradesh has got a good start but failed to convert his inning into a big one.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Kumar Kartikeya removed Armaan Jaffer for 26 runs and didn't allow him to build a partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal as they did in the previous battle against Uttar Pradesh.

Suved Parkar has also failed to contribute with the bat and returned to the dressing room after scoring 18 runs for his team. Yashasvi Jaiswal who stood strong on one end has also removed by Anubhav Agarwal when he was batting on 78 runs.

The wicket-keeper batter Hardik Tamore had been decent with the bat and scored 24 runs before handing a simple catch to Rajat Patidar. However, at the end of the first day, Sarfaraz Khan and Shams Mulani were remaining unbeaten on the crease, scoring 40 and 12 runs respectively.

Besides, during the game, the Chinnaswamy crowd chanted 'RCB, RCB' and we all know that the chant was made only because of Virat Kohli who is currently in England ahead of the Test (rescheduled), ODI and T20I series.
