Watch: Jonty Rhodes is back with a fabulous one-handed run-out in Road Safety World Series

Without any doubt, Jonty Rhodes is regarded as the best fielder in the history of cricket. After announcing his retirement from cricket, the former South African cricketer is currently leading the South Africa Legends team in the ongoing Road Safety World Series.

The moment took place during the match between South Africa Legends and Bangladesh Legends at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Bangladesh Legends were asked to bat first by the opposition as their openers failed to give a good start to the innings.

In the 4th over of the game, Makhaya Ntini bowled the final ball to Mehrab Hossain who just pushed it in front of the point region and tried to steal a quick single. But the fielder at the region was Jonty Rhodes who quickly collected the ball and made a direct hit to the stumps as the batsman just fell short into his crease which resulted in a run-out.

After that, Aftab Ahmed and Hannan Sarkar played a survival role for Bangladesh Legends and left the battle scoring 39 and 36 runs respectively. The whole team collapsed after their wicket and ended the innings with 160 runs on the board.

In the second innings, the South Africa Legends openers Andrew Puttick and the wicket-keeper batsman Morne van Wyk gave a flying start to their innings and added 45 runs at the end of the powerplay overs. Andrew Puttick went on to complete his fifty in the 31st ball. Both the batsmen dominated the opposition bowling alley and chased down the target of 161 runs in the final over without any loss of wicket.

They were unbeaten at the end of the innings with Morne van Wyk on 69 and Andrew Puttick on 82 who was named as the player of the match. As of now, the Jonty Rhodes-led side is all set to face the table topper Sri Lanka Legends in the 2nd Semi-Final on Friday,
