Virat Kohli revealed their opening pair for the 1st T20I against England

The first game of the five-match T20I series between India and England will be played on 12th March in Ahmedabad. Ahead of the first T20I, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli revealed the opening combination of India.

The hosts won the four-match Test series by the margin of 3-1. Both the teams are looking forward to the T20I series. They are taking this series as warm-up games for the upcoming T20I World to be played in the same country.

Meanwhile, the skipper of the Indian team, Virat Kohli addressed the press conference and spoke about India's preparations for the first game of the T20I series.

Kohli informed that the duo of Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have played well together in recent times. According to the skipper, they are India's first-choice openers in the shortest format of the game.

When he was about Shikhar Dhawan, he said that the left-hander will be their third opener for the series. If the hosts win the first three games, Dhawan might replace Rohit who can be rested to manage the workload.

“KL and Rohit have played well together. Shikhar comes as a third opener. The starting composition will be Rohit and Rahul” said Virat Kohli.

The BCCI has named a young squad and also picked a couple of interesting names in the squad. Suryakumar Yadav, Ishant Kishan and Rahul Tewatia have received their maiden callups.

While Surya and Ishan performing consistently in domestic cricket, Tewatia showed his great all-round performance in the last IPL. Picking the best XI would not be an easy job for team management.
