"They have played enough cricket to understand" - Paras Mhambrey on Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara's form

Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara didn't have a good time during the last couple of months with the bat. Both the batters were struggling to score runs in the longest format of the game.

On 1st December, Wednesday, the bowling coach of team India Paras Mhambrey has shared a few things about their form in the press conference. After the debutant Shreyas Iyer announced his arrival in his style, many current and former cricketers started questioning the inclusion of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara in the side.

Shreyas Iyer played well in the 1st Test against New Zealand as he smashed a hundred and fifty in the first and second innings of the match. With his fabulous performance in the first Test against the visitors, Shreyas Iyer cemented his place in the Test squad for the upcoming match against New Zealand.

We know there is a lot of experience behind them: Paras Mhambrey

Besides, the bowling coach Paras Mhambrey stated that Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have a lot of experience in their pocket and can get back to their prime form with just one good game under their sleeves.

"We know there is a lot of experience behind them and they have played enough cricket…we also know as a team that they are one inning away from coming to form. As a team, everyone is behind them and backing them, they know the value they bring to the team and the experience that they have.

They will come good, really not having any discussion around them. They have played enough cricket to understand what is expected or required to get going," said Paras Mhambrey.

Moreover, the head coach of the Indian team Rahul Dravid also had a few words after the Kanpur Test and said "I mean you don’t get worried. Of course, you would like more runs from Ajinkya, he would like to score more runs. He is a quality player and he has done well for India in the past.

He is one of those guys who has quality and experience and it’s a matter of a game when he would like to turn it around and he knows that and we know that."
