T20 World Cup 2022: ICC announces game dates on January 21

 
A total of 45 games will be played between October 16 and November 13 next year in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney
 

The men's ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is less than 11 months away and fans can soon start preparing for their World Cup experience with the full schedule to be announced on January 21, 2022.

With the announcement of the game, fans can plan which games they want to attend and where before ticket sales go public on February 7, 2022.

Given the expected demand and limited availability of tickets, fans are encouraged to register now to take part in the official presale. Access to this pre-sale, which takes place before the public pre-sale date, gives fans the best chance of securing the best seats at their preferred games.

Fans who have registered will be notified directly by email to confirm their pre-order window dates.

A total of 45 games will be played in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney from October 16 to November 13 next year.

The finals will be held under lights at the MCG on November 13, 2022, while the semi-finals will be held on November 9 and 10, respectively, at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Adelaide Oval.

As announced in November, Australia and runner-up New Zealand, as well as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan and South Africa, will step straight into the Super 12 phase of the ICC Men's T20 World Championship as the second highest teams in the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

“The T20 World Cup final will be played under light on November 13, 2022 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), while the semi-finals will be played on November 9-10 at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and Adelaide Oval. respectively.

“As announced in November, the ICC champions of the T20 World Cup 2021 men Australia and the runner-up New Zealand as well as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan and South Africa as the second highest teams will receive direct entry into the Super 12 phase of the ICC Men's T20 World Championship 2022.

“Namibia, Scotland, Sri Lanka and the West Indies will play in Round 1. The four remaining spots in Australia 2022 will be filled via the ongoing qualification path, which culminates in two global qualifiers, one in Oman in February and the other in Zimbabwe in July, ”the publication concluded.
