T20 World Cup 2021: MS Dhoni won't be charging any honorarium ahead of the mega-event

 

MS Dhoni has been added as the mentor of the Indian cricket team which is going to take part in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Considering the recent reports, the former skipper MS Dhoni will not charge a single penny ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup which is going to commence in few days at UAE and Oman.

Dhoni was included by the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after the veteran cricketer announced his retirement from international cricket. He has led India in six ICC mega-events and has a lot of experience which will help Virat Kohli and his men ahead of the tournament.

Hailed as one of the best captains in the world of cricket, will be a great add on for Team India who can understand the situation very well. Moreover, his presence in the dressing room will help the team, especially the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

According to the recent report from News18, the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has stated that "MS Dhoni is not charging any honorarium for his services as the mentor of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup."

The news stormed in the social media and fans were showing their massive respect for the veteran cricketer for his decision. Besides, Virat Kohli and his men will kick off their campaign against Pakistan on 24th October, Sunday.

Team India will be entering into this tournament as one of the favourites to clinch the prestigious title. Despite having some top-class players in the squad, Team India still having issues with the Baroda all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

He was not looked in a good form in the ongoing edition of the IPL and even didn't bowl a single over for the side. However, it will be decided further after exchanging a few words with the CSK skipper MS Dhoni who was eyeing to clinch the IPL trophy for the fourth time.
