Sam Curran ruled out of IPL 2021 and T20 World Cup 2021

The absence of England's crucial all-rounder Sam Curran from the blockbuster tournament in the UAE owing to a lower back injury has dealt a major blow to the team ahead of the T20 World Cup. The Indian Premier League continues in the UAE during this time, and he will be unavailable for the remainder of the season due to his suspension. The most notable thing about him is that he's an important part of the Chennai Super Kings

Following their encounter against Rajasthan Royals, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) stated that he complained of back discomfort and a scan showed that he had been injured. A "complete review" is anticipated later this week, although Sam Curran will return in the next several days for further scans. In addition, Tom Curran, his younger brother, will take his spot in the England T20 World Cup team.

Furthermore, Tom Curran was a regular part of the England squad for a number of years until he was dropped due to bad form. He also didn't make the initial 15-man roster. Reece Topley, a left-arm fast bowler, had already taken his spot in the squad.

While England will have Sam Curran back, they will be without Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes, two key players who helped them win the ICC World Cup in 2015. In the group stage, they will face Australia, South Africa, and two other qualifiers. They will begin their campaign on October 23.
