"Quinton de Kock might not come to play IPL 2023 if he sees Lucknow pitch" - Gautam Gambhir took a hilarious dig at Lucknow stadium's pitch

The former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir took a hilarious dig on Quinton de Kock after witnessing the pitch of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow where India and New Zealand locked horns with each other on 29th January, Sunday. If we take a look at the previous encounter between these two sides, New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss.

Coming out to bat, the visitors have failed to live up to the expectations of the fans as they managed to post only 99 runs on the board. Despite putting a low score, New Zealand bowlers kept the game very tight as India won the battle during the last over of the game.

After witnessing the game, Gautam Gambhir has a clear point that the surface of Lucknow isn't capable of T20 cricket as it assists the spinners over the pacers. However, the previous encounter between India and New Zealand didn't witness a single six throughout the game.

However, the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League, Gautam Gambhir hilariously mentioned about the South African cricketer, Quinton de Kock that he won't participate in this season if he sees this pitch.

While being on air Hindi commentary, the former Indian batter said, "If Quinton de Kock sees this pitch, [it is possible that] he might not come to play IPL."

Mohammed Kaif who was the co-commentator made a quick statement by saying, "No, no he will come to play. He will come to play IPL." After that, Gautam Gambhir made a remark about Amit Mishra and said, "Amit Mishra can contribute a lot for Lucknow Super Giants this season."

Following that, Mohammed Kaif also shared a few words about the right-arm leggie, saying, "I have understood Lucknow's strategy though. They will play with a young leggie in (Ravi) Bishnoi and a veteran in Amit Mishra."
