PSL 2022: Watch - A huge fire broke down in Karachi's National Stadium ahead of the season opener

 

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 has just kickoff today with Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans who will play the first match of this edition at the National Stadium in Karachi on 27th, January.

Moreover, the first 15 matches of this edition have been scheduled to play at the National Stadium in Karachi which is the home ground for the Karachi Kings as well.

Considering the recent reports from other sources, it has been reported that the organisers had to deal with a fire accident in the commentary box which is placed on the third floor. However, everything got under control before the situation goes out of hand.

The short circuit might come from the power lines and have been extinguished by the fire brigade. Besides, likewise in Big Bash League, there were some Covid-19 cases registered in this league as well.

According to the reports from other sources, there have been four Covid-19 cases registered from the Karachi Kings camp ahead of the tournament. However, they have successfully kicked off their opening game against Multan Sultans at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Moreover, a report from the Cricket Pakistan website read, "Following this incident, a PCB spokesperson confirmed that a fire brigade vehicle and personnel have been deployed at the stadium to deal with any emergency from now onward."

So, it is clear that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to give more precautionary measures in this edition of the tournament. On the other side, since 1998, Pakistan will be hosting the might Australia, as they have not been like other countries to host games due to their security precautions. The tour convinces three Tests, three ODIs and only T20I which is going to be held from March 3rd.
