Pakistan vs. West Indies 3rd T20I Preview: Pooran's Men Opportunity As Pakistan Looks To Test Strength

Now that Pakistan has already won the series, it is likely that Usman Qadir, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Shahnawaz Dahani will have chances.

Pakistan already has the series under their belt. Regardless, it was a good performance for the Windies in the 2nd T20I as they got as close to victory as possible without actually winning it. If you miss almost all of your first elections, it is an effort to go that far against a well-formed Pakistani team, including at home.

Lots of variety for the hosts

West Indies made a change in the final match by substituting legspinner Hayden Walsh for Devon Thomas and the move worked quite well. Pakistan was unchanged in the 2nd T20I but will make some changes in this game as it has already won the series, as captain Babar Azam said in the presentation after the 2nd T20I.

Pakistan are likely to give chances to all four players on the bench. Usman Qadir can replace Shadab Khan, while Khushdil Shah can join the team instead of Haider Ali, Asif Ali or Iftikhar Ahmed. Mohammad Hasnain and Shahnawaz Dahani are likely to replace two of Haris Rauf's, Mohammad Wasim Junior and Shaheen Afridi.

The super constant rizwan

After Pakistan beat 200 in the 1st T20I, Pakistan was limited to 172 in the second game of the series. Babar Azam, who failed to run many runs in Bangladesh, has also failed in the series' first two games, but given the consistency of Pakistan, the captain's form will not be overly concerned with.

Mohammad Rizwan, however, continues to shoot. It was a soft dismissal to be caught trying to hook up a delivery in a circle, almost bowling on the tram line outside Baumstump.

Haider Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed also made contributions. But it was Shadab Khan's 12-ball 28 that underpinned Pakistan's grand total.

At the Windies, Akeal Hosein continued to impress with the ball and was extremely frugal, including dismissing the dangerous Fakhar Zaman. Oshane Thomas, Romario Shepherd and Hayden Walsh also took a wicket each, while Odean Smith was the highest wicket taker for the West Indies with two scalps.

Brandon King shows off his chops

In response, Brandon King showed what he can do with 67 of only 43 balls at a hit rate of over 150. King looked in a class of his own even as wickets fell around him.

On the back of a beaten 19-ball 35 by Romario Shepherd, the West Indies were well placed at the start of the 17th round of the chase.

However, as is often seen, Shaheen Shah Afridi changed the face of the game by taking 3 wickets and only conceding 4 runs as he was responsible for three crucial scalps.

Good chance for WI

West Indies should have won the match but made some silly mistakes when they lost by 9 runs. But the fact that they were able to see the game through to the end in the absence of most of their first choice players is thanks to their talent and skill.

With Pakistan making some changes to the team in this game, the guests should do everything in their power to end the streak 2-1.
