No place for Ravindra Jadeja and Ishant Sharma in Sanjay Manjrekar's probable playing XI for ICC WTC Final
Just a couple of hours left for the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship finals between the two greatest sides, India and New Zealand. Both the nations have announced their squad ahead of the clash. Moreover, fans are eagerly waiting for the final clash which is going to be played on 18th June at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
In addition to that, both the skippers Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson didn't win a single ICC Trophy (as captain) to their name. Several former cricketers and experts are started to pick the probable playing XI ahead of the mega event. Likewise, Sanjay Manjrekar has also revealed his XI and has surprising picks in it.
Sanjay Manjrekar drops some big names from the XI:
The 55-year-old has revealed his probable XI in a recent interview with ESPN Cricinfo. Manjrekar said that "I’m assuming you have typical English conditions. I’m assuming there will be a mixture of sun and cloudy cover throughout the five days of the Test match if it goes the distance.
So I’m picking the team accordingly. "Going to have Hanuma Vihari to reward him for his brilliant innings before he got injured. India will need somebody with a more compact defensive technique. Because the guys at the top of the order barring Pujara aren’t those kind. So I will have Hanuma Vihari at number 6. Pant at 7, considering India have hardly had any practice game. I just want to make sure the batting runs deep," he added.

"Want Siraj, the swing bowler to be brought into the equation and the last time Siraj bowled overseason in Australia, got a five-wicket haul. Hard to leave a bowler like him out. You will be tempted to think of Siraj because when you look at Shami Bumrah and Ishant, they are more seam bowlers, hit the deck kind of bowler. Siraj might offer something different. I would go with Siraj. But India might play Ishant for obvious reasons," and signed off.
Here is India's probable playing revealed by Sanjay Manjrekar:
Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, Hanuma Vihari, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
