My stint with CSK has been a very special one, says Ambati Rayudu

The mega auction of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is not too far from us, as it is likely to be held in February 2022. MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings won the previous edition of the tournament by defeating Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders in the finals.

Moreover, it is expected that the upcoming mega auction would be the biggest ever in the history of the Indian Premier League. In addition to that, this mega auction will have the likes of the former players of the eight existing franchises that took part in the last season. Its auction pool has Suresh Raina, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shubman Gill and a lot more on the paper.

A few of them were expected to join with the home franchise that they represented in the previous edition of the cash-rich contest. The Andhra Pradesh based batsman who has represented Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be also on the list of players ahead of the mega auction of IPL 2022.

My comeback was dedicated to CSK: Ambati Rayudu

Chennai Super Kings

After Mumbai Indians let the right-handed batsman go in the mega auction of IPL 2018, Chennai Super Kings roped him for INR 2.2 crores as he become one of the regular fixtures for the side.

He has represented Chennai Super Kings across 61 games where he amassed 1500 runs that he played at an average of well above 34 and has a healthy strike rate that clicks around the 130s.

Recently, Ambati Rayudu expressed his feelings of being with the Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and also stated that he want to play again for them. "My stint with CSK has been a very special one. We have won two IPLs till now and played one final. 2018 was a very special season, a comeback season for CSK, and us winning the IPL that year made it very special.

2019 World Cup definitely was disappointing for me, for not making the squad. My comeback was dedicated to CSK and how they helped me get through that phase and time and I am thankful to them," Ambati Rayudu was quoted as saying in My Khel.

"Dhoni bhai has had the impact of getting the best out of me, not only me but he has an impact on everyone and brings the best performance out of everyone in the team. That is why he is the best captain India has ever had," he added.

"…I would definitely love to play for CSK. Formally, there has not been any communication with me so far, But I am hoping to get picked by them and have a successful league again," said Ambati Rayudu.
