Mohammad Rizwan is similar to Sachin Tendulkar's 23-year record

 

2021 was an unforgettable year for Pakistani wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan as he broke one record after another with his great batting performances throughout the year.

After winning the Player of the Series Award against West Indies last night, Rizwan set the record for the most Player of the Series Awards won in a calendar year that was 1998 by one of the greatest thugs of all time, Sachin Tendulkar, was set up.

According to data, Rizwan won 5 Player of the Series Awards in 2021. He won four of these awards in T20I cricket and one in test cricket. He won three of these awards at home and two away.

In the recently completed T20I home series with three games against the West Indies, Rizwan cracked 203 runs with an average of 67 the series price.

During the Pakistan tour to Zimbabwe, Rizwan scored 186 runs averaging 62 in the three-game T20I series to win the award. During South Africa's tour to Pakistan, he scored 197 runs averaging 65 in the T20I three-game series and 166 runs averaging 55 in three innings during the two-game test series. He was named player of the series in both formats.
