BCCI announces India's ODI squad against England

 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India's squad for the upcoming ODI series against England. They are currently playing the five-match T20I series against the same opponent. 

The three-match ODI series is scheduled to play from 23rd March. All the ODI games will be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The Virat Kohli and co. have lost their two ODI series and they will be looking to clinch the series against England.

The eyes will be on the skipper of the Indian team, Virat Kohli who has not scored a single century since August 2019. Shreyas Iyer has sealed his number four spot in the ODIs as well as he has shown some consistency with the bat. 

Rishabh Pant has been included in the squad thanks to his current form with the bat. He has not played an ODI for over 14 months and he will be looking to cement his place in the ODI squad as well. 

Rohit Sharma will be the key player for his as he has great records against England. He has an ODI average of 50.44 against England from 13 matches with the help of two centuries. 

Suryakumar Yadav, Prasid Krishna and Krunal Pandya received their maiden call-ups for the ODI squad.
