Afghanistan will play 3 ODIs against India in 2022
Afghanistan will face India in an ODI series of three away games in March 2022, as envisaged in the Future Tour program's schedule for the next two years.
The national team will play 11 ODI, 4 T20I and 2 test series - at home and away - during the two years. In total, Afghanistan is expected to play 52 international matches in 2022 and 2023 - 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is and three test matches.
In these two years the national team will play at the Asia Cup 2022 and the ICC T20 World Cup in the same year, followed by the Asia Cup and the ICC 50-over World Cup 2023. Afghanistan starts next year with an ODI series against the Netherlands and end the year with a three-format streak against Zimbabwe.
"If we split the balance between limited-over cricket and the test format, it clearly shows that Afghanistan's focus will be on the shorter formats of the game," ACB said in a press release.

"In view of the fact that Afghanistan is playing 7 ODI series in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and in four major limited-over events such as the Asia Cup 2022 (T20 format), the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, the Asia Cup 2023 (ODI format) and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, "added ACB.
