Pollard's heroics in the second half:
Coming back to the game, Rayudu scored 72 off just 27 balls, including 4 boundaries and 7 sixes to his name. During the 17th over of the game bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, Rayudu took off the ball to the Mumbai Indians dugout which broke the glass of the refrigerator.
In the end, Chennai Super Kings posted a mammoth total of 221 runs on the board. Chasing the target, Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock opened for Mumbai Indians and gave the expected start to their innings.
Both the batsmen used the powerplay overs and scored 58 runs off it. Once again Ms Dhoni used his tactics by bringing Shardul Thakur into the attack.
His plan paid off as the right-arm quick sent the opposition skipper back to the dressing room with the numbers of 35. Soon, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali removed the left-hander and Suryakumar Yadav in the back to backovers.
But, the situation gone worse for the Yellow army when the West Indies power hitter came to the crease. He started right from Jadeja's over and smashed three sixes off it. The flamboyant all-rounder took away the game from CSK's hand won it single-handedly for his team.
He was named as the Man of the Match for his blistering knock off 87 from just 34 deliveries which includes 6 boundaries and 8 sixes to his account.
