Watch: MS Dhoni trying to stump Dhawan on beamer from Moeen Ali

The second game of the ongoing season between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings was a thriller. The young Delhi side has chased down a huge total against the experienced franchise.

Having won the toss at Wankhede, Rishabh Pant decided to bowl first against CSK. They had to play without their two premium pacers - Kagiso Rabada and Nortje Rabada.

Chris Woakes and Avesh Khan have got some early movements with the ball. Avesh trapped Faf du Plessis lbw for a duck, whereas Woakes produced an outside edge from Gaikwad for Dhawan to grab in the slips.

It seemed that CSK would struggle again like the last season. But, the left-handed duo of Moeen Ali and Suresh Raina put back the pressure on the opponent bowlers.

While Rayudu has smashed a couple of sixes, Jadeja and Curran destroyed the death bowlers of Delhi. Sam Curran was in tremendous touch as he smashed four fours and two sixes in his 15-ball 34.

Moeen Ali bowled a beamer to Shikhar Dhawan:

While chasing a huge total of 189, the openers of Delhi Capitals provided them with a brisk start. They showed their aggressive intent from the very first ball and maximized the powerplay.

The CSK bowlers bowled poor lengths and dropped a couple of important catches of Prithvi Shaw. The duo of Shaw and Dhawan added a huge 138-run partnership for the first wicket.

The skipper of CSK decided to bring in Moeen Ali to dismiss the left-handed opener. As soon as he watched Dhawan stepping in to hit a big shot, he bowled a big beamer that directly launched on Dhoni's gloves.
