Watch: Chetan Sakariya's aggressive send-off to Mayank Agarwal

 

Chetan Sakariya had a dream debut in his first game in the Indian Premier League. In his second over of the game, the youngster trapped the Karnataka batsman Mayank Agarwal who threw his wicket with a simple catch to the wicket-keeper Sanju Samson.

Chetan Sakariya got aggressive after picking up his first wicket in IPL and sent off Mayank Agarwal in his style. Coming to the game, Punjab Kings were asked to bat first by Sanju Samson and lost Mayank Agarwal for cheap.

Then KL Rahul and Chris Gayle set the platform in the middle-overs and shared an important partnership for their team. After the dismissal of Chris Gayle, everyone thought that Nicholas Pooran will enter the yard as KL Rahul had other ideas.

He called Deepak Hooda to join the party who smashed 64 off just 28 deliveries including four boundaries and 6 sixes to his name. In the end, Rahul top-scored for Punjab Kings and missed his hundred by 9 runs.

Sanju Samson's revenge in the second innings 

Rajasthan Royals was once again had to chase a mammoth target of 221 runs against Punjab Kings. Ben Stokes and Manan Vohra opened the innings for their side and been sent back to the dressing room with the numbers 0 and 12.

Then Sanju Samson shared some crucial partnership with Jos Buttler who smashed 4 consecutive boundaries of Riley Meredith's spell but got struck to Jhye Richardson's slower yorker.

After his wicket, Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag played added some handful runs but not enough for the total posted by the opposition.

Sanju Samson was a lone warrior on the other end as he didn't get enough support from the fellow players and still took the team on his shoulders.

In the end, Punjab Kings won the game by 4 runs and Sanju Samson ended up his knock with 119 runs including 12 fours and 7 sixes to his name.
