Watch: Andre Russell refused to run Jamieson out despite batsman giving up

Andre Russell is not a cricketer who gives his 100 per cent every time. He took his antics to a whole new level when the Jamaican refused to run Kyle Jamieson out.

He has been used as a specialist death bowler by the Kolkata-based IPL franchise in the IPL. He has showcased his death-bowling skill against the defending champions, taking a five-for in his just two overs.

However, it was not a day for him as he went on to concede 38 runs from his 2 overs. He had no special delivery to AB de Villiers who smashed the KKR all-rounder all around the park.

The all-rounder did an unimaginable thing which left everyone in shock. Having already conceded 17 runs off the first 4 balls of the 20th over, he bowled an inch-perfect yorker on the fifth delivery.

AB de Villiers could just hit back to the bowler but Jamieson already came half-down the track. All Russell had to do is remove the bails at the non-striker's end.

But, the KKR all-rounder refused to run him out and left everyone in shock. It would have made no difference as the former South African smashed a boundary in the final delivery of the first innings.
