After winning the toss, Sanju Samson decided to bowl first and that paid him. The left-handed bowler Jaydev Unadkat bowled really well for his franchise in his first game as he went through the top-order of Delhi Capitals and removed Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane.

He ended up with the figures of 3 for 15 in his 4 overs spell. However, the new captain Rishabh Pant shared a crucial partnership with debutant Lalit Yadav in the middle and added 51 runs for the 5th wicket.

In the end, Delhi Capitals managed to set a target of 148 runs for the opposition. With that being said that Delhi Capitals didn't defend the total of less than 150 in their last 25 games.

Following the chase, Rajasthan Royals have been dominated by the opposition bowlers as Chris Woakes removed Manan Vohra and Jos Buttler in the same over.
