Twitter reacts as Eoin Morgan unluckily gets run out on a duck against Rajasthan Royals

The 2019 World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan didn't have a good time in the ongoing season of the cash-rich contest. The string of single-digit scores continues for the English cricketer as he registered a high score of 29 runs from the last five games he played.

His failures in the middle-order have been a great disappointment for the side. Likewise, once again, he returned to the dressing room without opening his account for the side in the recent encounter against Rajasthan Royals.

Coming to the game, Kolkata Knight Riders have asked to bat first by Sanju Samson. Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill opened the innings for their team but failed to live up to the expectations of the fans.

Rajasthan Royals' bowlers have been exceptionally done well in the powerplay by giving away below 30 runs. Jos Buttler removed Shubman Gill after he tried to steal a single by tapping the ball to him.

After the fall of Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana wanted to change the gear and unfortunately edged the ball that went straight to the hands of the wicket-keeper and Sunil Narine followed him in the next over.

Then the skipper of KKR, Eoin Morgan joined with Rahul Tripathi who was batting well on the other end. Unluckily, the shot of Rahul Tripathi off Chris Morris delivery hit Morgan and went towards the bowler. He was out of the crease and Chris Morris been successful to send back the left-hander for a duck.

Coming back to the match, Dinesh Karthik and Rahul Tripathi played a vital knock in the middle. Still, both of them failed to put up a decent score on the board and ended up in their innings after scoring 25 and 36 runs to their name.

In the end, KKR posted 133 runs on the board which is below par score for any team at the Wankhede Stadium. Following the target, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a good start to Rajasthan Royals before the English cricketer being dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy for 5 runs.

The youngster who looked in good touch with the bat has followed the English cricketer with the numbers 22.  Then Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube made a crucial partnership in the middle and added 45 runs for the 3rd wicket.
