Twitter reacts as Deepak Hooda and Mayank Agarwal engaged in a bizarre run-out

Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals have clashed with each other in the 29th match of the ongoing edition at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Mayank Agarwal has been appointed as the new skipper of Punjab Kings in the absence of KL Rahul. After winning the toss, Rishabh Pant asked the opposition to bat first.

His bowlers execute the plans well as they removed the wicket-keeper batsman Prabhsimran Singh for 12 runs. Moreover, they gave away just 39 runs in the powerplay overs.

Mayank Agarwal stood strong on the other end and dominated the opposition bowling alley all around the park. David Malan has not in the zone as he scored 26 off 26 balls and smashed only a boundary and a six.

Then Deepak Hooda and Mayank Agarwal were engaged in a bizarre run-out and as a result, Hooda has to return to the dressing room with a single-digit score.

Summary of the game:

Coming back to the game, Shahrukh Khan also disappointed the fans as he failed to time the ball which landed straight into the hands of Shimron Hetmyer.  In the end, Mayank Agarwal's unbeaten 99 helped Punjab Kings to post a challengeable total of 166 runs on the board.

But the scenario was almost different in the second half, as Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan once again gave the expected start for their side and added 63 runs in the powerplay.

However, Punjab's emerging bowler Harpreet Brar who dismissed Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell in the last game has once again delivered for his side.

He removed the dangerous Prithvi Shaw and got his side back into the game. But the Australian batsman, Steve Smith shared a decent partnership with the left-hander and got his side back to the victory line.
