Twitter reacts as Deepak Chahar vents frustration after Ms Dhoni drops a simple catch of Jonny Bairstow

 

Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Warner's Sunrisers Hyderabad have locked horns with each other last Wednesday. After winning the toss, David Warner opted to bat.

In the first over of the game bowled by Deepak Chahar, Ms Dhoni dropped a simple catch of Jonny Bairstow of the second ball. However, Dhoni was lucky as Bairstow didn't convert his start and been sent back to the pavilion by Sam Curran.

Then Manish Pandey and David Warner build a good partnership in the middle and added 126 runs for the third wicket. But Warner was not up to the mark as he played a runner ball inning of 57 from 55.

Besides, Deepak Chahar showed a frustrating reaction when his skipper dropped the easy catch in the first over.

Coming back to the game, Manish Pandey had looked in another form as he scored 61 runs off 46 runs. Kane Williamson and Kedar Jadhav played a quick cameo as they added 26 and 12 runs respectively.

In the end, they posted a quite challenging target of 172 runs on the board. Chasing the target, Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad continued to open the innings for their side.

They gave a perfect start to the team and scored 50 runs in the powerplay. The opposition bowlers struggled a lot against them as they continuously smashing boundaries all around the park.

They added 129 runs for the first wicket before Ruturaj Gaikwad being dismissed by the Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan who cleaned his stumps. He got two wickets in his final spell by dismissing well set Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali.

After that, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja finished the match for their team as CSK won the game by 7 wickets and moved to the top of the league table.
