Twitter reacts as Babar Azam bags a Golden Duck in the 1st Test against Zimbabwe

 

Babar Azam grabbed the headlines after he became the fastest batsmen to score 2,000 runs in T20Is as he achieved the feat in the third and final T20 against Zimbabwe. Moreover, they sealed the T20I series by 2-1.

Speaking about the Test match against Zimbabwe, the 26-year-old led his side to run over the victory line. The skipper of Zimbabwe, Brendon Taylor opted to bat first after winning the toss.

His plans didn't go well as the home side made them all out for 176 runs. Roy Kaia has been the top scorer for Zimbabwe with 48 runs. Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali dominated the opposition line-up and bagged 4 wickets each to their name.

Following the total, Imran Butt and Abid Ali got a good start to their innings but failed to convert them to big scores. Both the openers departed after scoring 91 and 60 runs respectively.

However, the skipper of the side, Babar Azam had a bad day against the visitors. Donald Tiripano was successful and got the wicket of one of the best batsmen in the world. Babar Azam went back to the dressing room after scoring a golden duck against the visitors.

Summary of the match:

The Fawad Alam played brilliantly in the middle-order and scored 140 runs for his team. Pakistan scored 426 runs at the end of the first innings.

Blessing Muzarabani and Donald Tiripano had done well with the ball and picked up 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Zimbabwe were 250 runs behind Pakistan and started their innings Kevin Kasuza and Tarisai Musakkanda.

They added 48 runs for the first wicket before Hasan Ali removes Kasuza for 28 runs. Nauman Ali dismissed Milton Shumba and Brendon Taylor in his spell and maintained the momentum for his team.

However, Hasan Ali continued his golden form with the ball and scalped 4 more wickets to his bag. In the end, Hasan Ali was named the Man of the Match.
