Reports: KL Rahul likely to leave Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2021

Cricbuzz has learned that KL Rahul, the IPL 2021's leading run-scorer, may not play for the Punjab Kings next year and may be available in the auction. Several teams have shown an interest in acquiring him, and he has been contacted by several of them.

It's still unclear how many retentions and Right To Match (RTM) cards a club would be allowed to use next year when the BCCI announces its retention policy, which is expected to include a mega-auction.

To ensure Rahul's departure from the Kings is as pleasant as possible, talks are going place behind the scenes to ensure he may utilise the RTM cards when they become up for auction. An official of the Punjab Kings has absolutely denied having discussions about Rahul now that he is in the Indian team bubble for the T20 World Cup.

Inidan players will join the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup:

Selectors are considering bringing in Harshal Patel, Venkatesh Iyer, and Shivam Mavi to help coach the Indian squad, according to Cricbuzz. Several of them, if not all three, maybe requested to return to Dubai, where the Indian players are now quarantined. After Monday's Eliminator, the instructions will be transmitted to ensure that the player(s) do not leave the bubble and instead move from one bubble to the next.

The BCCI has till October 16 to make changes to the World Cup roster. Seven days before the start of the stage in which they play, it has been confirmed to Cricbuzz that the teams may change. The BCCI has till October 16 to make adjustments before the Super 12 stage begins on October 23, for which India has already qualified directly.

The clubs participating in the first round had until October 10 to submit their rosters before the tournament began on October 17. Also, as previously stated, the future of Hardik Pandya is uncertain. If he is unable to bowl, there are backup options in Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar.
