IPL 2021: RCB added Mumbai Indians' reserve player Scott Kuggeleijn as the replacement for Kane Richardson

 

While everyone is busy with the ongoing encounter between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team management of RCB has announced the replacement for Kane Richardson ahead of the league.

Virat-led Royal Challengers Bangalore has been exceptionally well in this season as they won 5 out of their six games and are placed at the top of the league table.

They defeated the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the season opener and maintained the same moment for the next three games. They also won the games against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.

However, in their last encounter against Chennai Super Kings, RCB tasted their first loss of the cash-rich contest. Besides, after the completion of the game, two more stars have withdrawn their name from IPL. 

Scott Kuggeleijn to join with RCB

The New Zealand pacer Scott Kuggeleijn has been named as the replacement for Kane Richardson for the rest of the competition. He was in the squad of Mumbai Indians where he served as a reserve player for the side.

The Rohit-led side already have has the services of New Zealand's best pacer Trent Boult who has the ability to go through any best batting line-up on his day. Along with him, they also have the likes of Adam Milne and Jimmy Neesham on the cards.

However, the inclusion of Scott Kuggeleijn in the squad will give another overseas bowling option for Virat Kohli in the absence of Kane Richardson. The 29-year-old has represented his national team in 16 T20Is and scalped 13 wickets to his bag.
