IPL 2021: Lungi Ngidi will miss the opening game for CSK confirms Kasi Vishwanathan

The speedster from South Africa, Lungi Ngidi is likely to miss the match for Chennai Super Kings in the 14th edition of the cash-rich contest. He is among the five cricketers with the wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock who had a good run with the bat in the previous season for Mumbai Indians.

The CEO of CSK, Kasi Vishwanathan has said "Ngidi will join the team only after April 5. Ngidi will have to follow the same guidelines as others and will be put in quarantine once he arrives. Therefore, he will not be available for selection for the opening game."

So, the other one will be David Miller who is a hard-hitting batsman and can dominate any best bowling alley on his day. The rest of the two players will be from the Delhi Capitals squad named Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada have been included in the list.

It is a big blow for the franchise as they already lost their skipper Shreyas Iyer due to an injury in the 1st ODI between India and England.

As of now, the management announced their new captain, Rishabh Pant who is going to lead the side in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. Still, Pant has to lead the side without the services of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada who were their star bowlers in the last season.

For CSK, Dhoni will miss the services of Lungi Ngidi as all five players are in representing their nation in the three-match ODI series against Pakistan.

Who will be the replacement for Lungi Ngidi and other South African cricketers?

Dhoni will not leave the team think about Lungi Ngidi as he has some sensational pacers not much quick as Lungi Ngidi but can make the batsman struggle by hitting the perfect line and length.

Deepak Chahar will lead the pace attack for CSK along with Shardul Thakur who can give the breakthrough in the tough situations of the game. Josh Hazlewood will be the other good option for Dhoni who has the ability to handle the pressure in powerplay and slog overs.

On the other side, Rohit-led Mumbai Indians might miss the left-hander who gives the expected start for his side. However, Rohit Sharma has Ishan Kishan on the note and will make the changes according to it.

The newly appointed captain, Rishabh Pant would have to change the bowling line-up if both the Proteas does not return to the franchise on time. Besides, everyone is eager to watch Rishabh Pant leading his side against MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings on April 10.
