IPL 2021: CSK roped in Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi as a net bowler

 

Afghanistan has been one of the countries to have raised in the modern era of the Gentlemen game. Over the years, they have shown some quality performance on many occasions and took on a few big sides like India and the West Indies.

They are well known for producing some best all-rounders and bowlers ahead of the T20 leagues all around the globe. In the meantime, the Afghani spinner Rashid Khan came to the spotlight along with his teammates Mohammad Nabi, Zahir Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Qais Ahmed.

These players have put their best in their department and never misses any opportunity given to them. Likewise that the left-handed pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi has been the new name from the Afghan side.

He made his international debut in the recently concluded T20I series against Zimbabwe on March 20. As of now, the 20-year-old has been roped by the Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings as a net bowler ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.

It has been announced by the official Twitter handle of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) captioning that "Young Fast bowler @fazalhaqfarooq6 left to India where he is roped in as a net bowler by @ChennaiIPL for the upcoming season of @IPL!" they added.

It is surprising to see a pacer picked up from the Afghan team whereas they are well known for producing quality spinners on the ranks. Besides, Fazalhaq Farooqi will get a lot of things to learn from the CSK's camp where the best wicket-keeper of the modern era is present.

Chennai Super Kings has been the most loved franchise in the Indian Premier League. The three-time title winners will be looking to clinch the title ahead of the IPL 2021. Adding to that, they finished in the seventh position during the previous season due to the lack of performance in the middle-order for the side.

So, fans are eager to see the yellow army who were going to play their first match on April 10 against Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
