IPL 2021: Complete Schedule Of Rajasthan Royals (RR) For IPL 2021
Rajasthan Royals will definitely miss their home advantage that they used since the advent of the Indian Premier League. BCCI has announced only six venues Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Delhi due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to that, the 13th edition of the cash-rich contest was held in UAE for the same reason.
So, Indian fans will be happy as they have got their festival back on their soil. Speaking about Rajasthan Royals, they are winners of the first season and since then they didn't even get into the Finals of the league. They got a two-year ban from BCCI for match-fixing scandal along with Chennai Super Kings.
After two years, Rajasthan Royals made their comeback into the competition but once again failed to do their best in the eliminators. They finished at the bottom of the table during the IPL 2020 even having some big stars like Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Steve Smith, Sanju Samson, Ben Stokes and a few more.
However, this time they would enter into the competition with a lot of confidence and would look forward to clinching the title for the second time. Ahead of the IPL 2021, Rajasthan Royals released the Australian player Steve Smith, Anirudha Joshi, Akash Singh, Tom Curran, Ankit Rajpoot, Shashank Singh, Oshane Thomas, Varun Aaron and Robin Uthappa.
On the other hand, they have retained Ben Stokes, David Miller, Sanju Samson, Rahul Tewatia, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Mahipal Lomror, Mayank Markande, Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Manan Vohra, Andrew Tye, Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Anuj Rawat and Karthik Tyagi.
Rajasthan Royals are scheduled to face Punjab Kings in their opening game at Mumbai and will play their next four matches at the same venue and the remaining games to be played at Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore where they have to play four, three and two matches respectively.
