IPL 2021: Complete Schedule Of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) For The Tournament

Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking to clinch the title for the third time in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. In 2012, they won the IPL title for the first time against Chennai Super Kings in their den. They had a poor run-up in the following year and finished at the 7th spot on the points table.
However, the Gautam Gambhir-led side came back strongly in the 7th edition of the cash-rich contest as they went on to clinch the title for the second time against the then Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). Since then, Kolkata Knight Riders failed to register their third title in the Indian Premier League.
During the 11th edition of the league, they appointed Dinesh Karthik as their new skipper after the veteran Gautam Gambhir left the side. It doesn't go well for Kolkata Knight Riders as Dinesh Karthik also handover the leadership to the experienced English cricketer Eoin Morgan.
Moreover, they blindly relied on the West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell who had not been in the form. They have bought some good backup options ahead of the IPL 2021 and will be a tougher side this time.
They have released Chris Green, Nikhil Naik, Manimaran Siddharth, Siddhesh Lad and Tom Banton are the five players that Kolkata Knight Riders released ahead of the IPL Auction 2021. The franchise has retained Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Chakravarthy, Tim Seifert, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Sandeep Warrier, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Prasidh Krishna, Rinku Singh and Shivam Mavi are those 17 players who have been retained by KKR.
As per the schedule, Kolkata Knight Riders will face Sunriders Hyderabad in their first match at Chennai and will play their next two there as well and the remaining games will be played at Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore where they have to play two, four and five matches respectively.
