IPL 2021: 3 all-rounders who can replace Jofra Archer in the Rajasthan Royals team

It is time for yet another edition of the cash-rich T20 league. While fans are waiting for the league, the franchises are busy in final preparation ahead of the next season.

Rajasthan Royals have been hit by a huge blow just before the league takes off. Jofra Archer, who has been their main bowler, will miss the initial stages of IPL due to the elbow injury.

He was their main pacer over the last three seasons. He was also a handy lower-order batsman who could smack the huge sixes when his team needs. In his absence, the franchises would look for a replacement for Archer.

So, considering the all-round abilities of Jofra Archer, here are the 3 players who can do a decent job in IPL 2021:

#3 Jack Wildermuth

Jack Wildermuth comes on this list because of his amazing performance in the latest BBL season. He could swing the ball with good pace and can smash the big sixes as well.

In BBL 2021, he picked up 13 wickets and did not score much because of his lower position. But, he had a strike-rate of about 150 with the bat. He was unsold in the auction because of a lot of competition.

But, Rajasthan Royals' problem can be solved to quite an extent if they bring in Jack Wildermuth.

#2 Thisara Perera

Thisara Perera has a great experience of playing in the T20s around the globe. He has the experience of playing in the IPL as he has played for various franchises before.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder has a strike-rate of about 150 and a knack for picking wickets at the death overs despite being a bit expensive. He also has a hattrick in the T20 cricket which is incredible.

As he has good numbers with both the bat and ball, he could solve the issue of Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season of IPL.

#1 Scott Kuggeleijn

The bowling all-rounder from New Zealand is a genuine fast bowler who can bowl consistently at 140 kmph. He can also bat aggressively at lower down the order.

He was bought by Chennai Super Kings in 2019 but he could not showcase his talent as he played just two games. However, he was the leading wicket-taker in the last edition of CPL.

He has the knack of picking the wickets regularly, which is very important in T20 cricket. Considering his wicket-taking ability and hard-hitting skills, he can be a decent replacement for Jofra Archer.
