CSK rope in Afghanistan's Noor Ahmad as a net bowler

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have finally learned their lessons as they failed to prepare well for IPL 2020. Their pre-season preparation was affected by the COVID-19 cases in the CSK camp.

Just before the IPL 2020, 13 members were tested positive for coronavirus. As a result, they had to isolate themselves while other teams were preparing for the tournament.

CSK's lack of preparation affected their performance as they failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time. They also struggled to play with the winning combination throughout the tournament.

In order to perform well this season, they started the practice earlier this month in Chennai. With IPL starts in a couple of weeks, they moved to Mumbai last week.

CSK rope in Noor Ahmad as a net bowler:

Ahead of the IPL 2021, they have roped South African fast-bowler Hardus Viljoen and Afghanistan pacer, Fazalhaq Farooqi. The latest overseas player who has been acquired by CSK is Afghanistan's spinner, Noor Ahmad.

He is a just 16-year-old but he has already played for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League. He was set to play for St Lucia Zouks in the last CPL season.

But, he was forced to miss the tournament after failing to secure a transit visa through the UK. On the other hand, the left-arm pacer Farooq has already made his debut for Afghanistan.

The Chennai Super Kings will play their first game against Delhi Capitals on 10th April. They would look to start the season on a winning note.
