What happened on KL Rahul's birthday?

After getting a lot of wishes, KL Rahul had a match against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. Coming to the game, Rishabh Pant elected to bowl first after winning the toss against Punjab Kings.

The opening duo of Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul smashed the Delhi bowlers all around the park. At one stage, it looked like they would score more than 220 runs easily.

But, the Delhi Capitals pulled back things by dismissing the in-form batsman, Mayank Agarwal. After losing the right-handed opener, the Punjab Kings failed to continue to momentum. Once again the middle-order batsmen failed to live up to the expectations.

KL Rahul failed to accelerate while Gayle and Pooran could not contribute. However, a quick cameo of 15 off 5 from Shahrukh Khan at the end gave them a decent total of 195 on the board.

While chasing a huge total, Prithvi Shaw launched an attack on the Punjab bowlers from the very first ball. Once Shaw departs, the left-hander Shikhar Dhawan took the responsibility and destroyed the bowling attack of the Punjab Kings.

He almost took the team home with his 92 off just 49 deliveries. Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis completed the successfully in the 19th over of the game.
