"We will try everything we can" - Rohit Sharma's words have given a lot of hope for RCB and their fans

Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have competed with each other in an important fixture to qualify for the playoffs. Having a look at the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to take the field.

Priyam Garg opened the innings in place of Kane Williamson for Sunrisers Hyderabad. They got a good start in the powerplay overs and managed to post a huge total of 193 runs on the board.

Rahul Tripathi has been exceptionally well with the bat for Hyderabad, scoring 76 runs for his team. With a huge target in front, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened the innings and provided the start that their side expected from them.

However, after their dismissal, Tim David was the only man who took the match to the end. He smashed 4 consecutive sixes off T Natarajan and got run-out in the last ball of the over. That's the turning point of the game as SRH won the match by a margin of 3 runs.

SRH held their nerve pretty well: Rohit Sharma

Tim David - Mumbai Indians

After losing the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rohit Sharma shared a few words about the game in the post-match presentation. "Till about the second last over I thought we had it. Unfortunate runout there of Tim David.

We thought we were very much in the game till that runout. You would back yourself to get even 19 off the final over. Credit to Sunrisers, they held their nerve pretty well at the back end," said Rohit Sharma as quoted by Cricbuzz.

"We wanted to try a few things keeping one eye on the future. We wanted certain guys to bowl under pressure in certain situations of the game but I thought they batted pretty well to get 193. The way we pulled things back at the end was very good.

We weren't consistent upfront with the ball. We came pretty close with the bat but couldn't finish off. Feels good (to get his highest score on the score). For us, it is simple (for the last game). Just want to tick off the boxes and finish off on a high note," he added.

However, Rohit Sharma has made the Bangalore fans happy by saying, "We will try everything we can from our side. If there is an opportunity to try out new guys we will definitely look to do that as well." It will give a hope for the RCB fans that their chances for the playoffs are still alive.
