IPL 2022: Glenn Phillips has revealed the reason behind not joining the SRH squad

The Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad had an unforgettable outing in their first match of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. The Orange army competed with Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals where they have been defeated by a huge margin.

It was clear that Sunrisers Hyderabad batters didn't live up to their reputations except for Aiden Markram and Washington Sundar, as they have tried their best in the game.

Besides, the New Zealand cricketer Glenn Phillips is yet to join the squad as he reveals the reason on his Instagram story captioning, "For those who keep asking - I am stuck in New Zealand due to a positive PCR travel test. I will be joining SRH as soon as I can."

Moreover, in virtual interaction, the Kiwi cricketer claimed, "Being in the gym has had a lot to do with it. I’ve definitely put on some weight and started throwing a bit more tin around. At one stage I was sort of doing 800 a day over three sets. I’d do a set of 300, then 300, and 200."

The newly joined New Zealand batter Devon Conway has expressed his feelings and claimed that he always wanted to play under the leadership of MS Dhoni whenever he gets a chance.

In that case, Devon Conway shared a few words in the video posted by Chennai Super Kings, "I always wanted to play under the MS, the great MS Dhoni as a captain and I had a nice little conversation with him and said that you sure you don’t want to captain one more season, so you I can play under you as captain," Conway was quoted as saying by CricTracker.

"But, he said no and said that I will be always around. Couple days back, I had lunch and sat between MS and Jaddu (Jadeja) and had a chat. They are very down to earth and easy to talk to," he added.
