IPL 2022: Auctioneer Hugh Edmeades has been collapsed during the auction
The mega auction of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is going on at the Bengaluru. Franchises have bought a plethora of players in their squad and the fans were eagerly watching the auction for further updates.
Surprisingly, the auctioneer of IPL 2022, Hugh Edmeades has been collapsed during the bidding war between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings for Wanindu Hasaranga.
Soon, the management didn't waste much time and started to process a medical break for Hugh Edmeades. And, considering the recent reports, the auctioneer is fine now and he is expected to resume his work on the second day of the mega auction.
Moreover, some of the other sources have stated that Charu Sharma will be taking the charge in place of Hugh Edmeades for the rest of the time.

IPL 2022 Mega Auction has been resumed:
Hugh Edmeades has stated that he has conducted a lot of two-day auctions but it doesn't exist more than 12 hours in his auctioneer career.
In a chat with InsideSport, the IPL auctioneer Hugh Edmeades said, "During my 38 years as an auctioneer, I have taken plenty of two-day auctions, but admittedly, none lasting a potential 12+ hours.
However, I am not at all fazed by the prospect of being on my feet for up to six hours each day. Mentally and physically, I will be splitting the sessions into “bite-size pieces” and taking the opportunities to regroup during the breaks in the auction."
The mega auction of IPL 2022 has started again, fans were getting back on their seats and didn't want to miss a single moment from the auction. Moreover, all the eyes will be on Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians who are yet to come on a bidding war at the moment.
