Leadership, meanwhile, awaits Shakib's fitness rating as he works back from a hamstring injury sustained during the T20 World Cup last month.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the roster for the inaugural Alesha Holdings Test Series game against Pakistan, which begins in Chattogram on November 26th.

The 21-year-old batsman Mahmudul Hasan Joy from the Chittagong Division, who has already made a promising start to his first-class career with two hundred in the current National Cricket League and Sylhet-Paceper Rejaur Rahman Raja, will be appointed to the squad for the first time. Raja, 22, who has represented BCB HP and emerging teams, has returned 33 wickets in 10 top-notch games for Sylhet Division and Islami Bank East Zone. All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is also in the squad, but his fitness will be checked before the first test. The second test will take place from December 4th to 8th in Dhaka.

Dhaka: After losing 3-0 in the international T20 series, Bangladesh announced on Monday their squad for the first test against Pakistan, which will begin in Chattogram on November 26th. Batter Mahmudul Hasan Joy and the fast bowler Rejaur Rahman Raja earned their first drafts in Bangladesh's 16-person test team. Hasan is coming to bolster headlines as Bangladesh is still waiting for star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to regain full fitness after a hamstring injury sustained during the T20 World Cup last month that took him off the three T20Is against Pakistan who lost the hosts 3-0. Taskin Ahmed was not included as he had to be stitched due to an injury sustained in the third T20 against Pakistan.

Experienced opening player Tamim Iqbal, who is aiming for a comeback after several injuries, did not make the cut for the opening test. You will also get by without white ball captain Mahmudullah, who has given up test cricket.

Mahmudul Hasan, a member of the U-19 World Championship team from Bangladesh who hails from Chittogram, has been inducted into the local league for his outstanding batting achievements. The 21-year-old had beaten hundreds in a row in the National Cricket League.

"It's still at the beginning for him, but Mahmudul has shown a good temperament for the longer version," said Chief Returning Officer Minhajul Abedin on Monday. “He's also a well-formed batsman. Due to injury concerns at Taskin (Ahmed) and Shoriful (Islam), we had to keep our pace bowling options open and Raja was awarded the contract. We have seen his performance in top-notch competitions. He's strong and energetic and has a knack for using wickets, ”he said.
