T20 World Cup 2022: Best XI among the players who didn't make the cut in India's squad

On 12th September, Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 which is going to take place in Australia.

Without any surprise, the selectors have gone with the top-three Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli followed by Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant in the middle. Moreover, the Indian fans will be happy after witnessing Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel in the 15-member squad.

However, Team India's benched players have always been notable ones as they added Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Chahar as the standby players for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

With Rohit Sharma and co will be featuring in the mega ICC event, we can make a strong XI featuring the players who have missed their flights for the marquee event.

Openers:

Ishan Kishan - Prithvi Shawa

Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan were one of the finest cricketers in both international and domestic cricket. Both the openers have got plenty of runs to their name and they are well known for their attacking ability right from the first ball of the game. However, both youngsters have been left ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022.

Middle-order:

Ruturaj Gaikwad

At number 3, Ruturaj Gaikwad would be a good option as he opened the innings for India during the Sri Lanka series under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan. The right-handed batter has amassed a lot of runs during the last couple of seasons for Chennai Super Kings but failed to do for the national side.

Shreyas Iyer will be coming at number 4 and has also been named as the skipper of this side. Following him, Rahul Tripathi will be in the middle order as Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan have occupied the opening slot.

Sanju Samson will be the wicket-keeper batsman of this side as everyone knows his capability of scoring runs and would be a good contender in the Australian backyard.

All-rounders:

Ravindra Jadeja, one of the best all-rounders of modern-day cricket has missed the T20 World Cup after undergoing knee surgery in Mumbai. However, the left-handed all-rounder has all the varieties and can do anything on the field.

Bowlers:

Mohammed Shami

Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi have been named on the standby players list. Kuldeep Yadav would be the other bowler as the left-arm chinaman has often been a threat to the batters when he is in his rhythm.

Here is the Best XI of the players who didn't make it to the T20 World Cup 2022:

Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer (Captain), Rahul Tripathi, Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi.
