Shakib Al Hasan picks his all-time ODI XI, no place for Sourav Ganguly and Rohit Sharma

The newly appointed skipper of Bangladesh in T20Is, Shakib Al Hasan has named his all-time ODI playing, including three Indian cricketers in the list. In addition to that, the veteran Bangladesh all-rounder has also added himself to his all-time One-day XI.

Shakib Al Hasan named the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the opener and Pakistan's Saeed Anwar on the other side. At no.3, the left-handed all-rounder named the West Indies' giant Chris Gayle followed by the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is known for their best against any kind of bowlers across the world.

With a strong top-order, he continued to go with one of the legendary all-rounders Jacques Kallis. Following him, Shakib Al Hasan slotted MS Dhoni at number five and named him as the skipper of his side.

While naming himself at number six, the senior Bangladesh cricket went on to pick two great spinners of all-time Muttiah Muralidharan and Shane Warne his side. Having a look at the pace bowling department, he named the 'King of Swing' Wasim Akram and Glenn McGrath.

I'm the greatest off-spinner of all time: Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle

Recognised as 'Universe Boss' Chris Gayle has come up with a funny statement ahead of the T10 competition named '6ixty' which has just kicked off on 24th August, Wednesday.

Chirs Gayle seemed to be excited about that tournament and shared a few words with ESPNcricinfo, "You know what? My bowling is natural. I definitely have to bowl. I'm the greatest off-spinner of all time.

Murali (Muttiah Muralitharan) won't contest that for sure. I have the best economy, not even Sunil Narine can come close to that," was quoted as saying by CricTracker.

"I'm really excited to be back in the field. I missed it. I’m like a kid again, looking forward to the first game… For my debut. I'll have to get back in shape. I'm still in shape but just a li'l (little) prep here and there to get in that mindset of playing cricket," said the 42-year-old.

"Bowlers nowadays are creative. They've got a lot of variations, and they make it challenging for the batters. Of course, the batting part is more dominant in shorter forms, but the bowlers have a lot of skills to make it uncomfortable for the batter. It'll be up to us how we make it even more interesting for the fans out there," he added.

Here is the all-time ODI XI of Shakib Al Hasan:

Sachin Tendulkar, Saeed Anwar, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Jacques Kallis, MS Dhoni (captain & wicket-keeper), Shakib Al Hasan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath.
