IND vs ENG: Harbhajan Singh wants this player to lead India in the absence of Rohit Sharma

The former Indian cricketer and one of the greatest spinners, Harbhajan Singh has named a player who he wants to lead India in the absence of Rohit Sharma in the final Test match against England.

Rohit Sharma has recently featured in the practice game against Leicestershire where he was seen decent with the bat along with Virat Kohli and others. After that game, Rohit Sharma has been reported that he was tested positive for coronavirus and might be doubtful for the final Test against England.

In that case, the International Cricket Council (ICC) took their official Twitter handle and asked the fans who should take charge if Rohit Sharma misses the game against the hosts.

Harbhajan Singh was quick enough to respond to the tweet of ICC and mentioned the premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah, as he wants him to lead the side.

We don’t know if he can be the best: Graeme Smith

Yuzvendra Chahal

On the other side, the former England spinner, Graeme Swann has made a bold statement on Yuzvendra Chahal and claimed that he will straight away take him in the longest format of the game.

In a recent interaction with Times of India, the former England cricketer said, "I'd sit down with Yuzi and I'd say, 'What is it? Do you want to play for India?' If he does, I'd have him in the squad straight away.

I think he is world-class, he is the best spinner in the world in my opinion. His control, bowling leg-spin in very tricky conditions, especially when that ball gets dew on it and gets wet is incredible," Graeme Swann was quoted as saying by CricTracker.

"Definitely people get pigeonholed into one or the other format and can then find it hard. Well, I should say Yuzi is the best white-ball spinner then because we don't know if he can be the best red-ball spinner. But it shows that some cricketers have been pigeonholed into the white-ball format," he added.
