"Give me four months with him and I'll make him India's best all-rounder" - Mohsin Khan's coach reveals convo with Mohammed Shami

Mohsin Khan grabbed the headlines with his fabulous performance for KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the previous edition of the India Premier League. The latter had a great season by picking up 14 wickets in 9 matches and has maintained his economy rate well under the 6.

After witnessing the young talent, the veteran Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami told Badruddin Siddiqui that he would groom him as India's one of best all-rounders if he gets just 4 months to spend with Mohsin Khan.

Moreover, Mohammed Shami also stated that the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) KL Rahul also feels that the 24-year-old has a good understanding of the game.

"When the auction was going on, I was sitting with Shami in his farmhouse. He was picked, and so was Mohsin. Shami told me, 'If you just give me four months with him (Mohsin), I'll make him India's best all-rounder'.

He is a very good batsman. And even KL Rahul said earlier that he has a good understanding of the game," said Badruddin Siddiqui during an interaction with Sports Yaari.

Following that, Badruddin Siddiqui said, "There can be many bowlers but you need to have a good understanding. You need to know what ball to use against which batsman. Today, Shami is a big bowler. But he is always ready to help the up-and-coming youngsters."

In addition to that, Badruddin also shared a few words with PTI about Mohammed Shami and Mohsin Khan's interaction during the lockdown and said, "It was a very small group and I had called Mohsin so that he could train and learn watching Shami.

I also wanted Shami to have a look at him (Mohsin Khan) and give his feedback as to how he was shaping up. What I felt was that Shami was impressed and gave him a lot of tips. He has often enquired about Mohsin’s progress. And trust me you have seen his bowling but he is an equally capable had-hitting batter."
