IPL 2022: 5 players who might attract huge bids in mega-auction based on the T20 World Cup 2021 performance

In the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, a plethora of players have come out of their shells and proved themselves with both the bat and the ball. Most of the players who have taken part in the list were slower bowlers and leg-spinners who have used the UAE conditions well in the tournament.

In addition to that, the tracks in India would not be much different when compared to the UAE conditions. The mega-auction for IPL 2022 is going to commence on coming December with two additional franchises based on Ahmedabad and Lucknow. So, let's have a look at the five cricketers who might get a bid ahead of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League.

5. Rassie van der Dussen

Rassie Van Der Dussen is a perfect team man who can build partnerships in crucial moments of the game. In the ICC World Cup 2021, the right-handed batsman has piled up 177 runs in 5 matches that he played at an average of 59.

His highest score in the tournament came against the well build England attack where he smacked an unbeaten 94 off 60 balls which went in vain. However, he is expected to come under the hammer ahead of the mega-auction of IPL 2022.

4. David Wiese

With the ball, the 36-year-old gave his best to the team and picked 6 wickets with an economy rate of below 8. Considering his numbers, we can expect David Wiese under the hammer of IPL mega-auction 2022.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman somehow managed to catch the spotlight even after playing with some great players like Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. The right-arm bowler has featured in 3 matches for Afghanistan where he scalped 7 wickets at an average of well below 6 and has an economy rate of 5.41.
