Watch: Tim Bresnan picks his all-time best XI
The English cricketer Tim Bresnan has grabbed the headlines after revealing his all-time XI in a recent video. He made his international debut for England in a T20I match against Sri Lanka. Following that, his ODI debut came after two days against the same team. But his Test debut for his nation came a little bit late in 2009 as he got a chance to play against West Indies.
He has featured in 34 T20s and 85 ODIs and scored 216 and 871 runs to his name. With the ball, the latter has scalped 24 and 109 wickets respectively. Apart from the limited-overs cricket, Bresnan represented his nation in 23 Tests where he piled up 575 runs and bagged 72 wickets as well. Besides, the 36-year-old has named his all-time best XI which is considered as a weird XI by the fans.

Tim Bresnan picked the team way back in 2018 on his birthday. The video was officially posted by Lord's Cricket Ground on their official Youtube channel. The right-hander opened the things with one of the best players of the longest format of the game Alastair Cook. He decided that Alastair Cook will be the opening batsman along with Adam Lyth.
At No.3, Bresnan named the skipper of England Test team Joe Root who has done a lot for the nation since his debut. Further, he named the Australian all-rounder Darren Lehmann who was one of the under-rated cricketers during his time. The wicket-keeping duties had been given to Garry Balance and were also the skipper of the team and included himself at No.6.

Then, the spin unit will have the services of Adil Rashid who is the only leading spinner on the list. The pace bowling department has the likes of the legendary pacer James Anderson along with Stuart Broad, Mitchell Johnson and Steve Harmison.
